dustboy Jolly good fun, lots of meetng new people, hello to all, new PB, echo the comments re the chip timing and Crocs mention of undulating pavement which puts you off your stroke a bit. KatieB A flat 10k, hoping to improve a bit. :-) *UPDATE*- yep, improved a bit. Official time 46:05. Pretty pleased with that. Didn't stop my watch at the end (*again*) and annoyingly the chip timing was only at the finish, so I may have sneaked an unofficial sub 46...but that's certainly on the cards for later in the season. Max71 It's a week after Richmond Half and so I am planning on a PB for this. Although I've put 65 minutes in real terms I want 59 minutes. We will see. Puffing Bertie Well I guess it serves me right only 7 days after Richmond half! I really felt i was going faster than i actually was, bit annoying really and i had that funny cold shivery head thing again so dont know what that was. But managed to pass loads of peeps from 5k onwards, then some of them got me back by 9k :-( However the race itself was great and the company afterwards was worth all the hard work, so i guess i will be back next year for defo. Tappers Official time recorded, actual time 43:26. What a wonderful time, good pb, and met loads of Fetchites. Went for coffee at Costa, with Max71 and Puffing Bertie, plus Croc, KatieB, Rubble. wizlyn Official time 43.23 - tho Tappers tells me it was approx. 8 seconds from the hooter to crossing the line, so happy to take an unofficial 43.15! Went off far too fast - note to self not to do that again (but then, this is the real world so I know I will ;-)) - so had to retrench from about 2/3k. 10k's are ****y hard work - but happy to have this one under the belt after my dodgy hip this week. ... and lovely to meet up with the fetch crowd at the end(!) Sounds like a successful day all round: congrats to Tappers, Croc and KatieB on pbs and to PB and Max for back to back HM/10ks. Serpentine RC 38:01 39:04 43:23 68.51
