Spans 8km of xc running over a tough course... a great championship race!!

The start was as usual fast and furious, and after a shaky start for me I seemed to find my rythmn after the first killer hill. The ground was very uneven, pitted with moles hills and dried mud which meant that the legs were constantly being zapped of energy, but the lack of rain recently meant that it was probably the cleanist xc I have run for a long time! Once the first lap was over it was a matter of maintaining my position and seeing if I could work my way through the field... a difficult task in such a high class field, but I felt strong to the end and an uphill finish, meant that I could establish the lead I had on the girl behind me, but I couldn't quite get the one in front!

Overall I finsihed 26th which I am over the moon with, a top 30 finish in only my 2nd season of xc can't be bad!! Ranelagh Harriers 32:07 32:07 32:07 74.23
Wabo To be honest, I got round! What can I say, I hadn't run for 9 days because of a lurgy. I got round what was described as a very tough course, I felt ok, I didn't puch myself due to lack of any training and I am happy. If I had been fitter I suppose I might have done it in 44-45?? And spans, I did finish 16th from the end! Eton Manor AC, Orion Harriers 47:11
