wozzlehunter a tough one, and one of the best organised races on the marathon calender. several club members did this and organised a bbq for the finish, a most social way to finish after a hard day on the trail.Deffo be doing this one again. Portsmouth Joggers Club 2:59:47 3:01:40 3:27:33 65.64

Konaboy Phew that was hard work. Really struggled from half way with the heat & blisters. From 20miles on took 2min walking break at each mile marker. Again lack of long distance training resulted in below par performance. Also really must avoid longer distance races over the summer months. Will now buckle down with a proper training plan for Abingdon in October. Must say it was one of the best organised races that I've done - must look at entering some more of the SAAB Salomon/2:09 events later in the year Reading Roadrunners 3:35:22 4:30:00 4:22:56 48.83

Naomi P Part one of a birthday double weekend. Lovely weather today, and nice to see so many runners out on a tough race. Time was ok given the hills and the second mara the following day. Very impressed by the women's fit technical t-shirt at the finish. Unaffiliated 3:28:37 3:38:59 4:30:00 4:52:47 45.76

Gandhi Hadn't run for 2 weeks due to a continuing chest infection. Found it really tough.I've never seen hills like that & I thought I was going to get sunstroke in that heat.Had to have a rest at the 20.5 miles.
But now that the pain & agony is over I'm really glad I did it. Spectacular scenery .Organisation was superb. Will definitely do it again. Coltishall Jaguars 3:57:49 3:57:49 5:46:32 43.07
Mrs Gandhi Really tough marathon and the hardest one I have done. Very hilly. Views spectacular. Very well organised. Although afterwards I said never again, I have thought about it and would love to give it another go. Coltishall Jaguars 4:37:10 4:59:23 5:56:52 47.66
