northern_runner The best marathon I've done for scenery. The last climb from Waunfawr was brutal and the descent back into Llanberis seemedto go on forever. Slightly disappointed not to get under 4hrs, but it gives me another reason for coming back next year. Bowland Fell Runners, BRJ Run and Tri 3:27:46 3:27:46 4:00:00 4:02:28 56.68

Velociraptor Definitely not up for a PB attempt, but I'd like to beat my cou
rse best and I'd REALLY like sub-4 :o)
 ***RACE REPORT***
Loved it! Had a cracking start, went through halfway in 1:45, but knew what was coming! Set off too hard, got comprehensively gubbed by Waunfawr, but knew sub-4 was in the bag provided I got running again at the top. There was weather, but not too much wind. Am pleased with how hard I was prepared to work for that :o) Cumberland AC 3:36:39 3:56:22 3:59:59 3:56:22 60.94

Karen S First marathon, not sure how I will do. Hopefully the trekking in the Himalayas I've done will stand me in good stead to tackle those hills - Trekking to Kala Patar near Everest Base camp was the hardest thing physically I've ever done (5800m)!
