Not Greased Lightning (M.) Saw some fetchies, weather was ok, enjoyed the race and managed a pb. Sub 1.35 for definate next outing. Just adjusted the time to the chip time.

Cavey Gutted!!! It all started off ok clocking 8:15-8:30 min miles, but fell off the pace at about 8 miles, dropping down to 9m/m. Then at 10 miles the wheels just fell off!! Ended up walking a fair bit. Was hoping for a PB, but thought i'd at least beat last years time of 1:58, but it wasn't to be. Don't know what went wrong, maybe I set off too fast, maybe I under estimated how hilly it was, but am now slightly worried about Blackpool in 2 weeks!!

Bazza Mental note - dont shave plums a couple of days before race again! And if you do, get some vaso slapped on. In pain, but just the plums. Really happy to set a pb, and a hot day. Maybe below 1 hour 50 next year? Who knows. Spliats were 8.33, 8.23, 8.27, 8.33, 8.39, 8.26, 8.26, 8.18, 8.49, 8.37, 8.47, 9.04, 9.03

Marty Was supposed to be a nice run before the marathon next week but set off to quick and ended up doing a PB! It was good fun tho!

Clarky I will probably be still recovering from FLM, so would be happy with around 1.45. Update: Outside chance of a PB - Will be going for it! Under-estimeted my fitness, took a big chunck out of my PB and a negative split.

Dipper Prediction: Sheffield 10k time in April suggests that I'm on target for 1:34. Got a knotted calf, but should get a PB regardless. Result: Storming race, great weather, good organisation, wonderful stadium start/finish and a minute and a half under my (optimistic) PB prediction.

McGettingThere Aiming to PB and go under 1:30 - the Ranby 10 mile suggests it may be possible. Disappointed if I don't at least get close. Woot woot - seeing as I was ill for the first half of the week I'm not sure where this came from but I'm not going to complain. Very chuffed with an even pace - 10 - 12 were complete torture but seems worth it now.

Wingy i think im ready, just trying to hold off a cold, otherwise im hopefull of sub 1:50. Not quite as good as I had hoped for, but a PB none the less.

Baldy Dave How's that for a prediction?A little hot but a great race.The underpasses & running through the NCP just add to the character and you can't beat a big stadium finish.

katiewoo13 My first Half Marathon so not looking to get a fast time, will be happy to get round and enjoy it. Hoping to shake this cold by the weekend though! Result: Really enjoyed it and got a reasonable time. The crowds were excellent & the course really enjoyable and varied. Struggled a bit in the last 3 miles, until then was on track for a good sub 2hr finish but not too upset as I am glad to have got my first one done.

Steady Fast A real buzz for me as it was my first half-marathon. Ecclesall Road and the town centre were high points but slog back to Don Valley Stadium sapped me of everything ! Will do again though
