Gobi Ran almost spot on 3.30 Kms for all 5 with a little kick at the end. Got course as slightly long and got a PB off no taper and no sleep as on nights.

Left Foot Goal was to start whittling this down under 22:00 again, so this was a good start. Physically I know I can go faster, but mentally I have a fear of blowing up (or throwing up!)
Happy with this as it is 30 seconds faster than last month.
Well done everyone. Road Runners Club 21:09 21:51 21:51 69.43

I've got a very sore lower calf after Sunday's long run, so I'm a certain doubt, or possibly a doubtful certainty.

SparkyMark How fast can I go - well I'm going to find out here. Only second 5k and first time at Hyde Park. Training going really well and a nailed on PB. Ran mile faster than race pace and felt great - Full steam ahead :-) UPDATE - Was great to see Gobi, RachE and Boo (sorry you could not run today, but a wise move) WoooooooooHoooooooo :-) YES! YES! YES! sorry a bit hyper and very chuffed. watch time of 20:42 waiting for official time. Started in B race and waited for a few to go in fron to lead the way, as was unsure of the course. 1st K in 4:00 a bit quicker than planned, but felt good. Weather was chilly with a very slight breeze - but a pleasant day. Tagged on to one guy and managed to steady the pace. 2-3K seemed to lose a bit of pace and picked it up again. I knew if I got to 4k around 17:00 mins then target of 21:15 was on. The guy behind me shouted to the marshals - 'Is it 4k yet?' as he drew level at the 4k marker, I looked at my watch - 16:48. I then accelerated again - he was NOT going to come passed me. Had trouble swallowing at 4.5k, but managed to struggle through and sped up again picking off a couple of runners in the drag into the finish. Stopped my watch and was swearing for about 10 secs before I looked at my watch - 20:42. I had to look twice - could not quite believe it. A PB by almost 3 mins! Thanks to Serpentine for hosting. Stubbini Just beaten to the line by Rach E. (well done). A PB for me by over 20 secs from October. Now wondering how to shave off 10 secs per km to get under 20mins. Unaffiliated 19:30 19:30 20:00 19:30 68.84
