San Francisco Marathon

Running Beans Only run this Marathon because I was in San Francisco when it was on, I noticed the posters for the Expo and pre race pasta party and found out it was the 25th anniversary, so thought when in rome and what the hell, I may never get this chance again. I never done any trining for it and was only counting on the training I had done for Vancouver MArathon. The only training I had after the Vancouver MArathon was hiking down the west coast of america and some light running 30 minutes (3-4miles at a time) every other day. Was only wanting to finish the race so I feel that the time was exelent and although slower than Vancouver is probably a better race time considering. I did pay for this however as I ended up in the first aid tent with a severe dose of cramp in my ham strings. That was probably not helped with me giving my girl friend a walking tour of the route the day before so she could get to se me at several points throught the race and still get back to the finish on time. I don it I finished and I am happy time means nothing and there can be no real excusses for it as I chose that path. Kilmarnock Harriers & AC 3:03:03 3:13:18 3:35:49 56.32
