Runna A lovely route, I really enjoyed it. A lot of road for a trail run, I was wearing trail shoes and ended up with very sore feet. I think a few arrows had been removed in the last couple of miles, got a bit lost, ended up running round waitrose carpark. Would def do this again. Jonny Found this tough going. Didn't carbo load and haven't done many long runs in the last couple of months. The weather was perfect for a summer marathon. Quite cool, dry but enough sun to pick up a sun tan. Ran the fist 10k too fast but it felt comfortable. Calf muscles were starting to tire and began getting stomach pains. The hill through the field at 12-13 miles seem to never end and I didn't even think of running up it. At 15 miles I had to do something about my stomach and headed off into the woods. It seemed to do the trick and the rest brought back a spring in my step up until about 21 miles where cramp started to settle in to my quads and hamstrings. From there on in it was at least flat and managed to get to finish with a walk/run stategy (the only way I could do it).
The distance turned about to be a extra mile long. Even though it was hard work I really enjoyed it and the checkpoints were superb and frequent. Unaffiliated 3:27:32 3:30:05 4:38:24 43.72

Jogging Jon This will be marathon 8 of 2008 for me. I will taking it slowly as only 2 weeks after last and I am planning to do 4 in September. I will be wearing my fetch shirt which has my name front and back. If you spot me please say hello.

This one was hard, I run most of the race with an injury to my left foot, still I am happy that I finished. 100 Marathon Club, Wrekin Road Runners 3:44:35 4:16:16 6:01:20 35.54
