running (s)low I was told I'm being silly putting 3 hours...but hopefully I'll get a better time and feel happy I've beaten my predicted time! Would love to beat at least one of the (younger) teachers who are also running. Saffron Striders RC, Walden Tri 1:55:58 1:55:58 3:00:00 1:55:58 58.21

Musical Journey Start of the race was delayed by 45 minutes due to Jubilee line suspension. There was a strong wind that made it feel quite cold and there were foil blankets galore on display as people wrapped during the delay. The weather held out well though with just some light drizzle for a few minutes which was actually quite refreshing. This course is undulating and whilst I thought it would ease off after the 7 mile marker, there were still enough gradients to prevent a quicker pace and in the end, despite pacing at 9 minute miles all the way, I just failed to beat the 2 hour mark by a mere 17 seconds! The crowd support was energetic in places, but the big disappointment was the music, which was supposed to be the whole point of the run. It seems the spectators benefitted from the bands and recorded music more than the runners. Not a race I would recommend due to its undulation and the lack of good scenery. Nice medal and a free for all with energy drinks, shower gel and energy bars at the end. Unaffiliated 1:38:56 2:00:17 1:55:00 2:00:17 49.71
markselbyrunning 55min halfway split, realised lost phone and picked up right leg injury after 7 miles, struggled, hobbled, walked a bit but got there in the end. Some guy had actually picked up the phone during the race and got it back to me after the end. Good on him!!! Unaffiliated 2:01:10 2:01:10 1:50:10 2:01:10 47.86

mystique100 Decided to run with my wife. as this was her first half marathon. The race was delayed for around 45 minutes. Not a ad time considering we had a 10 minute toilet stop.

Didn't like the staggered starting, which meant that some runners were waiting for 20+ minutes in the holding areas.

I would recommend this even without hesitation. Unaffiliated 1:40:04 1:58:56 1:55:00 2:32:49 38.44
