Jaffers 15/11/07 - Right...I've got a week to shake this cough thing and then there might be half a chance of a pb. If the wind stays in bed that is. Last two races have been good sighters, so it's all or nothing on this one. 23/11/07 Update - super race. Really pleased to deliver in line with expectation. Structure of the race went well - Bodo kept me right for the first half and then I eased out a few metres and took things on. Caught Bedlam at 2K, but no chance of bridging the gap to Quadbarrel. Increased the pace through 2nd half of the race and passed at least 6 people in the last K. Good to catch up with the other Fetchies too. Unaffiliated 9:54 10:45 10:45 10:45 71.88
Quadbarrel Great lunchtime run on Glasgow Green. Went out miles too fast last time and suffered over the last km. ***Update 21/11. Ran a 22min 6k today to put some speed in my legs. Felt good. Will be trying my hardest to pb here. Matching Jaffers prediction!! ***Update 23/11. Delighted with that. Lovely conditions for a race. Happy with my time (unofficial). The Belly Is Gaun Tae Get Ye 14 secs down on first race in series. But just glad to be back racing after having to withdraw from my previous three races and having man flu last week. Great day for a race and I hope it will continue in the Spring. Well done to the other Fetchies on their times. Ride 63 11:56 11:56 12:10 64.90
