Odeon1085 This is it. The big one. 18 weeks of hell. Never been as dedicated to do anything in my life. All to lose 9mins and 15 seconds!

We will see......
Update: Sorry guys. Didn't happen. Ending up walking from 39k I felt that bad. Covered the last 6.2 in 60mins. Gutted... Unaffiliated 2:46:24 3:04:46 2:59:59 3:16:02 62.01
bassy Watch time due to malfunctioned chip...... but you will just have to trust me on it! I have witnesses! Its deffo a pb, even if it took me a couple of mins to cross the line

Running injured in that heat was not fun, but we ploughed on half split 1.45 but just fell away, 3 plus missed training weeks put paid to my 3.30 attempt for now.

Change of style due to injury also caused some classy blisters which have dyed one of my shoes red! How cool is that! Unaffiliated 3:50:30 3:50:30 3:40:00 3:50:30 54.02
Boffin Better beware! In theory I should PB at Rome; my current PB was set late last year on a hilly course - Rome is flat and training has gone to plan.
However, my target for this year is the Six Nations Marathons - so the finish without injury is the primary objective for Rome.
Barring incident, I will PB.

Oh dear!! Sorry everyone for losing your points:(
Well I may have a 3:30 in my legs - but it never would have happened in Rome! - The splits tell a familiar tale - burnt up halfway - going Ok up to then, but suffered with the heat and a poor hydration strategy.

Paris next, then London - don't bet on either of them!!! - Edinburgh will be a PB! Unaffiliated 3:54:07 4:11:24 3:50:00 4:14:42 48.60
Bosun Tony Last 3 have been 3: 35 Edinbugh, 3: 36 Berlin, 3: 33 Dublin, would love a sub 3: 30 but can I do it ? Feel like I have done the training for it so here's hoping !! That would let me qualify for Boston next year
UPDATE: Sorry folks have to join the club, wasn't to be for me ! Maybe kidding myself on about qualifying for Boston :( could try to blame the heat, blister, cobbles. Fact is I was done in at 35K, London next month and no chance of a 3: 30 there, Ednburgh in May ? well you never know ! But don't bet on it please !! Unaffiliated 3:19:52 3:34:34 3:30:00 3:34:34 61.35

Sweetie Training was going really well until a week ago when I started to get niggles in my achilles so it has been a rather dramatic taper - hopefully the complete rest will do the trick.
My last mara PB was achieved on a sprained ankle - so by rights this should be a massive PB - but will the achilles hold out on the day? Bet if you feel lucky!
UPDATE - Achilles held up but it was a very uncomfortable run, I think the heat got to me more than anything else. Sorry to those who bet on me, I was pretty sure this would be a PB - I am doing Paris next month, perhaps a chance to get some of your Fetch points back?!! :0) FERC 4:52:47 5:17:17 4:50:00 5:17:17 42.30
