Geprig Not the most scenic course, but the organisers did a great job in the cicumstances and the marshalls were great. I was aiming to run 7.45 miles, but I ended up running 7.31. I did an Ok job holding back on the first lap, but when the second lap came I let myself get carried along by the crowd. Nice medal. Bishops Stortford RC 1:26:24 1:38:30 1:41:30 1:38:30 61.85

Left Foot Update: 7th Lady to finish. First woman over 40! Suffered for the uphills as don't usually include so many in my training and usually avoid hilly races. I am sure I did 10 min miles on some of them! Shame I couldn't crack 1:40 this time, but got quite close to my PB (which was on a dead flat, quiet course) so quite pleased for hanging in there. Quite a challenging course, I think, if I placed that highly in the women's field. Hard work but I had an enjoyable day. VERY nice medal and spot prize, too! Roobarb Don't think I am going to better my pb done on this course a couple of years ago - having problems with my right foot. If I can equal my time of 2:15, I will be happy.
****UPDATE**** Well, my foot hurt me from start to finish so I am pleased to have done this in the time I did. This race is a favourite of mine so I will be back next year to better myself! Well marshalled and great that they didn't have to alter the course after all. Unaffiliated 2:15:09 2:18:45 2:15:00 2:18:45 52.19
Tracey G I can do this, this year if I don't stop and go to the loo in a field. Harwich Runners 2:12:12 2:28:48 2:15:00 2:28:48 45.96
Wabo would love to go under 2 on this course, never have! Will do better than 2.40 I am sure.....
Ok, thanks for all the bets guys! I did get you some points. I did not run like the wind much, I don't think I really enjoyed it, the toothache is still around, I didn't get sub 4 here but so so close!
However on the positve, I did get a course pb, and in spite of having a terrible night's sleep, because of everyone who had bet on me here, I just got up and did it!!
As hubby said to me 'if you get round this today, you can do anything' well I don't know about that....

Just updated correct time as I checked results! Eton Manor AC, Orion Harriers 1:57:23 1:57:23 1:58:00 2:01:28 59.62
