festerarl Did this back in 04 - first ever tri. IF it's not windy I want a pb, if it is windy I'd love a top half finish (Target 414m swim - 10m, T1 - 2m00s, Bike - 42m, T2 - 1m20s, Run - 23m).
Prov results - Beat my target and 6m42s faster than in 2004. Swim 10m05s, Bike - 42m33s, Run 21m45s. No real complaints although I was puffing a bit on the run. Got a pb and top half finish. Olney Runners 1:18:20 1:14:23 1:14:23
jude First time I have predicted for whole thing so unsure what transition times to include etc....
Overall time prediction is:
11.00 for 414m swim
55 mins for 20k bike
28.30 mins for 5k run
So 1hr 34 ish for racing and 4 mins overall to include both transitions.
*RESULTS:*
Woo! Broke 1h30! Still about 340th out of 390 ish finishers so no british team spot for me, but at least I did it... and with a busted butt to boot. Splits: Swim 414m:12.19 (inc about 2 min at T1) Bike 40k 49.19 (inc. about 2 min at T2) Run 5k 27.34 (think this may have been a bit short, about 3 miles) ran the wrong way out of T2 like a dufus.
