paskha 5th 10K race / 1st Redruth 10K - Oh dear, another mis-hap at a 10K race! I caught a train from Penzance, which was late. I put the bike on the train? not sure if I did this year .... anyway, I was late - but they waited for me. This is the only race I know that starts 200 metres down & along - from where it eventually finishes. Just as I was jogging down to the Start - where they'd been waiting 5 mins already (it wasn't fair to wait any longer, warmed up in vests & December... ) they set off - FAST - round a corner - and I'd lost sight of them! I took a wrong turning in Redruth - down towards the Town Centre - and was re-directed after 2-3 mins, so lost at least 5 mins. Eventually caught up with some charity runners, so wasn't actually last this time. I was the only FV50 - so got the trophy regardless of my time!
