Agent Orange Fetch heaven - have never seen so many Fetchites in one place before. Special thanks to Tappers for support from the side and Em71 whose shirt in front of me was the target for the first 4km. Wasn't aiming for a particular time but was a wee bit disappointed with this - should I blame the blustery wind, the humid conditions or my non-existent speed training over the summer? But great goodies, a good family morning out and v.good to put some faces to so many names! Unaffiliated 43:42 45:49 47:59 48:54 56.03
blue (pete) I ran this last year as my first ever race - it nearly killed me!!!! Still I managed it in under the hour so am aiming to improve on that by about 10 minutes if possible...I have already run faster this year but each course is different and this one is quite tight and busy (as I recall)

Nice hot bath and I'm wearing the 't'-shirt...6 minutes or so faster than last year so very pleased. Think i'll run this again next year! Unaffiliated 48:46 49:32 50:00 53:01 52.08

CB. predicted time reflects the fact that since 6th August have been on holiday in Greece.

Ran some useful runs there in 25C heat including 11km at 60mins but havn't run since that run (except 5k this morning) as I was caught up in the Greek Fires

I'm not sure how the 10 day lay off will affect performance Sunday will tell

garfieldhouse Hope to be less than 48 minutes after running that damn tough course (Race the Train, Wales, 19 August) 2 weeks before!

Glad with the outcome- not a personal best but that course was trickier than expected- actually caught quite a few people out I think. Especially running over that Newtown bridge with the hairpins! Southwest Roadrunners 44:38 45:17 48:00 47:44 55.31

KatieB Don't bet...not going for a pb. :-) Very cool run by the Diva. No walking and no slowing and plenty of overtaking people. She lost her sense of humour around 7k Bedford Harriers AC 45:00 46:05 1:05:20 46.32

Kew A PB and a really good race - will make sure I do this one next year Reading Joggers 45:40 52:39 52:39 56.65
MadJonny Slightly slower than expected, but was not predicting great things here. Kept an 8-30 mile pace going up to 4k but tired in Forbury Gardens and dropped the pace down to about 9-15 mile. Hoped to speed up in the last 1k, but nothing left in the tank. Enjoyable race even though the course was a bit slippery due to the drizzle. Good to meet a number of other Fetch runners before, during and after the run. Unaffiliated 48:17 54:24 54:50 49.02
MadRobby A well organised event and pleasant route along the canal. Found the ground a bit soft and slippery in places and the footbridge at 6K threw in some interesting twists. Overall, pleased with a new PB! Unaffiliated 42:27 45:10 45:10 58.99

SDI My goal for 2006...... a sub 60 10k. I ran this last year so I know it's flat enough, it's just whether I train enough!!!...........

RESULT. a PW! but I'm still very pleased ! (Sorry Vindicator!) Unaffiliated 57:21 1:14:07 59:59 1:14:07 40.09

Sir Moses Hill A PB but not particularly happy with either my race or the course. Had hoped for a sub-40 mins but it became apparent after 3k that I was up against it. Then embarked on the cobbles, twists, ups and downs of the Reading course. Felt knackered after 7k but hung on and reeled in another few runners. Delighted to see I finished in 44th out of 898. Ran along the river for another 30 mins to turn it into a decent Sunday session. Unaffiliated 41:37 41:37 41:37 63.44

TomM Despite difficult conditions, I enjoyed this race, which was very well organised. Disappointed with my time (my slowest ever 10K) and finished with a very sore calf muscle. On the plus side, nice scenery, great medal and I got to meet Katie B and Diva :-) Stubbington Green Runners 53:22 56:47 59:20 51.82
Yellow Fang I almost didn't turn up because I really didn't feel like it this morning. My legs were still a bit tired from Friday and I knew this was not a fast course. I don't really like to run 10Ks unless I think I can get under 40 minutes. In the end I decided to go and jogged there. I arrived about forty seconds before the start. I got a smack in the face from someone doing his warm-ups while trying to get a bit further up the start. As I was still quite some way back, I found myself catching a lot of runners. The twisty parts of the course and the loose ground underneath slowed us down a bit, especially when crossing the footbridge over the canal. I didn't look at my watch, but I could tell I was slowing down, especially on the off-road section against the wind along the river. I was a bit diasappointed with my time at first, but then most people's times were down so I cheered up a bit. Reading Roadrunners 39:01 39:15 41:02 66.29
