Boycie Should PB this one without too much difficulty - I am a lot fitter and better prepared this year than last!!!! Also the weather can not possibly be worse than last year! UPDATE: Conditions were horrendous again - even worse than last year. Despite this, I managed to PB and beat the train (just) - it was tooting as I crossed the line!!! I am knackered! Running Caz What a FANTASTIC event. Thoroughly enjoyed every second of the run despite feeling sick with nerves about the distance all morning. Took it at a nice easy pace and enjoyed the variety of terrain. The ploughed field was hard in the first half and you seem to run at uncomfortable angles after the 5M mark. Wore road shoes so know I could have faired better with some decent trail shoes. Second half was great, mud, sliding everywhere, steep hills and running at a 45 degree angle :-) Didn't beat train ;-) BUT ran whole distance without any problem and felt great in the last few miles where I passed loads of people once on the lanes and had fantastic sprint finish :-) Felt although I deserved a better time but am sure I would have been at least 5mins faster with good footwear. LOVED IT!! Cobra RC 2:28:00 2:28:00 2:28:00 49.54

Seagrave Mud, mud, mud and hills, hills, hills. Was a bit worried about being able to complete this because of the mud, hills and complete lack of training and given that am quite pleased with the result as I was bracing myself for potentially up to 3 hours! Could have done 2:15 if I hadn't absolutely crashed with 4 miles to go. Birmingham Running, Athletics, & Triathlon Club (BRAT) 2:28:00 2:28:00 2:30:00 2:28:00 44.45

Two Towels. Tough course although the first 6.5 to 7 miles were not to bad, until you reached the farmers ploughed field, then it got tough, and hilly, most hills on uneven canvers!

Very wet & muddy, could have done with wearing Walshes, trail shoes did NOT have enough grip!

Cracking race. Long Eaton Running Club 2:50:47 2:50:47 2:50:47 40.03
