Jenson Didn't have a watch with me. Figured that wasn't too much of a problem as it is a two lap course. Turns out, I think I enjoyed it more as no pressure pther than to simply finish. Rather windy and the hill at 9km is a killer but overall, great setting and canny course. esk vally fell club 43:20 46:26 48:17 61.89
jazz Bit windy in places but not as windy as last year. Time was about 45 seconds faster than last year so pleased with that but finished further down this year out of the women. This is quite a tough 10k with the hills. Struggled to get my legs moving again after the last hill near the 9k marker Tynedale Harriers & AC 38:49 40:30 42:32 70.43

Sodahead Raby Castle 10K went much better than expected yesterday. I ran 36.52, my best on this course is 36.12 and I was only 6 seconds behind a club mate who normally beats me by some distance. 17th overall and 3rd Vet 40 (no prize for this). The interesting fact about this run is that my heart rate only averaged 167BPM – this is less than what I would expect to do in a marathon so possibly the bottle of red the previous night had a considerable knock on effect.
