Em Very hot day, lovely course, ran with club mate, been told not to do that again as I couldve gone much faster, will see in 2005 how much faster

paskha 26th Half / 6th Plymouth Half. The first few years I did Plymouth, it started at 11am. Now it starts at 10am, which really does make a difference when the sun is HOT. Except I wouldn't get there by public transport. Lift from Ronnie at 6:40am, in the multi-storey car park by 8;20am, nice and quiet. Relaxing pre-race, buying socks & fluro top from Ironbridge Runner. I did the first mile too fast (8:46) then felt heavy & hot, slow on the Saltram hill, halfway in 62:40, mile 9 was fast (8:56) and I faded badly in the last 3.1 miles - over 10 mins per mile ... funny old Plymouth - it ALWAYS gets you in the last few miles, even if you know the course!! It's a very nice medal, although it's now the same each year (the year is on the ribbon) and great goody bag - this year we got a mini radio, which I've used on long runs Mounts Bay Harriers 1:55:14 1:59:57 2:05:00 2:09:21 58.48
