Morning Owl Covered up my Garmin for first 5 miles and noticed I was going faster than I would have done - don't think it had an adverse effect. Slowed down, and raced by effort. When covered, it was 167 heart rate, took it down to 164 and second half of race I was doing 162 - 163. A group of 6 runners overtook me at 11 miles or so, obviously following a different pace strategy. 17th place in 40 - 50 age category. 47th place out of ~350. Flat Out Fi Luckily the rain held off until mile 11. Really enjoyed is race and course was great, all along quiet country lanes. Was 3rd lady until the last half mile or so then got overtaken and ended up 4th in the end. Got a bronze county medal for 3rd FV35 so can't be too disappointed with that!!
