SneekyPete found the shorter course better for me, as I was still fresh on the second lap. Had a headache afterwards, perhaps due to running on hard ground in spikes. DIDNT twist my ankles, much to my suprise, but I may have run slower and looked where I was going.... Oxford City AC 39:00 62.17

Dubbya Position 90th Ouch Decided to run at last minute in case the club was desperate for a 7th scorer. Thankfully they weren't so I tip-toed around the rock solid frozen Abingdon Amblers AC, Hillingdon AC 33:54 69.85
steeplechaser Comfortable at finish as course was only 4.75 miles. Not sure what went wrong here. Alchester RC (Bicester), St Austell Running Club 33:09 76.19

Spruce Goose Very pleased with time and position (91st), significant improvement on prior run at Culham. Shortness of course caught me out, certainly shorter than advertised, and choice of footwear was very difficult. Decided to go for short spikes, which certainly gave me OK grip but still turned my right ankle a few times which is now very sore. White Horse Harriers AC 43:00 33:55 69.81
