Alex Patton 60/286 - Brilliant race. An absolutely stunning day and a fantastic course made this a great way to run this far for the first time. Started out at a reasonable pace doing 7.0x miles and started to run through people on the hills at 4/5 miles. Went through 5 miles in 35:30 and then pushed on. Got lost coming down the hill between miles 9 and 10 and ended up running through a thorn bush which shredded my shins and probably cost me 30secs or so. Went through 10 miles in circa 1:15. As predicted (given that my longest run to date was ten and a half miles) I really started to struggle about mile 11/12 and the last couple were sheer purgatory and I lost quite a few places. Will definately be back next year with a few more miles in the legs. Tonbridge AC 1:54:20 1:54:20 1:54:20 58.57

Michael C quite warm and very sunny which meant struggling during the middle miles , had a stitch and a headache but took on water at 9 and walked up the gulley to have a rest , took on more water at 12, which resulted in a strong last couple of miles. v tired afterwards though.
