frizzle I will get this bloody PB if it kills me!!! Update- YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! Finally after a year of trying I have done it!!!! 1 minute and 38 seconds off my PB. The race was really good. Tried to start off steady but I did the first k 28 seconds faster that I should have done (it was slightly down hill though!!) After each k I tried to slow down because previously I have gone off too fast at the start and then died half way round!! By 3k it was feeling comfortably hard and I knew I could do it even if it meant slowing down a little. I followed someone for the last 2k (unofficial pacer!!!) and then picked up the pace on the last 1/2k. Frizzle is back!!! Yaxley Runners and Joggers 23:58 24:54 25:30 24:54 59.17
Marts being very bold and predicting sub 18 5k as i've run 7-8 miles night before all my others this year so should be bit faster. maybe not sub 18 but should be defo fetch PB:) PB PB PB PB(well fastest time since started running again in 2003. have been quicker twice in 1992) splits 3:22, 3:33, 3:37, 3:44, 3:26 (tink 4th k marker out) felt great will update more on blog when back from hols. time official now.
