Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) First time I have raced a 12k. ** Update** much hillier than I anticipated but ran well, weather could not have been kinder to us :) Pleased with my time and result - 1st F50! Nice to have met Fetchies, Boingy boinged past me just before the big hill ;) played cat & mouse with Phal & LoxleyFox but they beat me to the finish, well done guys :) Good to meet Clare1976 & Trumpton Riots as well, well done to Runningheva for winning F55! :) and well done to Jigs who finished 10th overall!!! :):):) * I do love him* ;) Unaffiliated 54:29 54:29 55:00 54:29 77.53

Jigs Good run, slowed in 3rd mile, picked up after. Sat behind 2nd lady for a few miles, then overtook going up last hill. Great downhill stretch to finish 6 mins faster than last year, and 10th overall :):) Unaffiliated 46:32 46:32 46:32 70.87

phal enjoyed that one :o) great to meet some more fetchies, and there were lots of club mates there too. Thanks to loxley fox and lurvelylegs for keeping me going and making me run faster when the legs didn't want to! Keep forgetting how different the two halves of the race are! Must remember for next year!! The Green Runners 50:57 53:53 53:53 66.82

clare1976 Have never broken the hour on this race before (done 3 times!), but I think this year could be it as I wil be in better shape than on previous attempts. Looking forward to it. UPDATE: Yeah Baby, thrashed this PB. One of my best races ever, everything came together, I worked hard throughout and gave it my all. Delighted with my time and loved the race - a tough hilly course but finished with a big smile of my face. Great mix of club mates and fetchies there too, good to meet so many people and put faces to names/avatars! :-) Spa Striders RC 49:29 56:12 59:00 56:12 64.24

Boingy Not a race or distance I have run before. Anything could happen. :-) ** Very chuffed with todays race, couldn't have gone much better. Target was to keep to 4.30/km until I got past the hill at half way, and then see what I had left in the tank. Got to half way pretty much on target, although the hill at 5k was bit of a killer, and found myself running strong. Decided from there on in to try and pick runners off one by one and found myself running much quicker than my target pace. Hit 10K at 43.45 with is a 10k PB by over 1 minute. :-). Just missed out on sub 52min, but really happy. It was a friendly race and a challenging course. Nice to see so many fetchies there. Leamington C & AC 49:43 52:03 54:00 52:03 62.32

Jo-bee Great race, long hills and a hill just before the finish made it very challenging but it was a lovely day and beautiful scenery and I'd definitely do this one again. Unaffiliated 1:02:50 1:02:50 1:06:00 1:04:18 57.46

runningritch Just off 4min 45sec km's, so quite happy on the whole, but could've (should've) pushed harder.
Undulating for first half, but largely flat second half. lovely country route though.
Will endeavour to improve upon next year! Pershore Plum Plodders 51:59 57:07 1:00:00 57:07 56.11
Seagrave Enjoyed this, went at a nice steady pace especially given that thus far 2008 has brought more pints than miles... Birmingham Running, Athletics, & Triathlon Club (BRAT) 49:01 58:15 1:00 58:15 55.02
bigmunnki After running cross country yesterday, I am fairly pleased with this run. Still a long way from where I want to be, bit at least it was not as bad as yesterday. Bournville Harriers 1:04:16 1:04:16 1:04:16 50.28
CrazyLegs Not sure I can beat last year's attempt but I will give it my best shot!!!*Update* Really enjoyed this one, was slightly late getting to the start so kind of got boxed in for the first couple of kms.The hill was as bad as I remembered it from last year, I managed to keep my pace down on the downhill sections! Didn't see any other Fetchies but from reading the race reports they were all miles ahead! Was slightly disappointed by the time. Unaffiliated 1:12:55 1:12:55 1:15:15 1:12:55 49.38

Dowse First race of 2008 and I had a really great time. Good route and well organised. Beat my prediction quite easily, will have to be tougher on my self. Couple of testing hills, but all downhill from there and I met some really nice people. Watch time 1:08:32. Look forward to doing this one again. tulip haven't done this one for two years and hoping to set a PB! *update* am awaiting official results to see if watch was right but unfortunately still plodding and am sure I didn't come anywhere near my predicted time and was much slower than that. Sorry to everyone who bet on me, I was running around 7 min ks until 8 k and then I slowed down to a trot and jog and then walk until I got my act back together around 10.5 k. *sigh* this is my fifth year running, you'd nearly think I could be faster than this but no, this just proves that some people are not born runners and I am definitely one of them. I am really really sorry to all people who lost their bets. I am still unrealistic about my capabilities - I know I'll never be fast or anywhere near real running pace. Sorry guys. *update* website had slower time but I was at the back of the field, so have added time on stopwatch!! Did better than last time, so there is improvement hooray!! :-)
