Scibs Swim could have been better if I hadn't used my special goggles that leak and mist up really really quickly! Lost my way at the top of the course and had to ask one of the canoes for directions. So - room for improvement there then. Bike was better than expected but changing the wheels two days before the event was possibly not the best move. A strange rubbing noise that I couldn't stop even by opening up the brakes meant I had to stop twice, but still beat prediction. Run was horrible for me. Had trained for the planned route which was probably a bit under 10k and flat. On the couple of days leading up to the race the route was changed to 2 x hills and over 11k. WACA Very pleased in general but prob went too hard considering ironman in August. Run was prob over 11km too from comments. Came 73rd which is better than 90th last year and catefory imprvement from 22nd to 14th so very pleased with those stats. Very warm today, wrecked this afternoon.
