Neil Oldfield First race at this distance and the first 3 miles were slow up a constant climb. Felt really good for the last 4 miles though and looking back I think I could have run them at a quicker pace. Really enjoyed the day and a lovely momento. A good marker to beat for next 7 miler now. Siggers late entry to this, not done much training since stafford half, trying to get 'me dodgy hip' back in order, still, would like to go under 55 minutes. Didn't manage the 55 mins, but the splits were pretty good, the hill between 1.5miles and 3 miles was murder, certanly payed for it in the last mile, however does all bode well, considering the lack of training that I've done in the last three weeks, still getting problems with the hip though, I will have to try and find some flatter training runs.
