Still can't believe I managed to knock 5 minutes off my best. I put it down to the extra miles I'm putting in for Nottingham and especially the speed sessions.
I thought I saw the Rev at the beginning in his Fetch T at the back of the #2 queue!! :)

flanker Fast course, but running it as part of my Robin Hood training schedule so not expecting to set any records!

Update - no records set! It is a fast course but lack of any LRs for the last 10 weeks really shows. Last 4 mile shurt. Managed to get inside 1:55 target, so I can live with that.

giggsy On eof those races where everything feels so easy and a new PB by 2 minutes as a result! Mind you, couldn;t walk properly for a week afterwards - felt like I'd run a full marathon not a half!

Greenman Rain rain & more rain. It always seems to be extremes at Newark, v. hot or v. wet and I prefer the latter! First Half since the beginning of Jul and was pleased to get comfortably under 1:30.

No.8 â„¢ Great to see 2FF, Su2 and Running Rev at Newark, sorry I wasn't there to see you over the line but had to make a quick dash south.

Before the race, wasn't feeling too confident, me and my Brooks had done precisely 200 metres together (a run round the running shop car park yesterday), during the warm up my shins were painful, every time my feet hit the ground shins hurt and the part of the calf were the fizzio was working on Friday was sore.

Still it was raining, a slight understatement, absolutely pishing down and last time it rained for a half mara I pb'd - although that was February.

Race started and I was determined to get the

Rich963 Disappointed with the time, but was feeling rough from about half way so eased off towards the end (no PB in sight, so no point ruining marathon preparation chasing a time. Just one of those days where nothing felt right (shoes were chafing, gels upset stomach, legs tired from early on). Ended up feeling sick and like a cold is coming on. Not an ideal day! Still 5 minutes quicker than last year though, so can't really complain too much.

RunningRev WHY DID I FORGET TO PUT THIS IN MY PORTFOLIO!? Everyone would have won SO many Credits on me!!! THIS RUN WAS AMAZING! I HAVE NEVER RUN AS FAST FOR SO LONG IN MY LIFE! I WILL stop shouting now! I am bouncing off the walls with happines s at completely smashing another PB!!! OOHH YA!! Running Reverend is BACK IN ACTION BABY! I've had a couple of bad runs so this was a great feeling! What helped was the lovely cold day and the rain to keep me hydrated, and cool. What was hard was the wind, and that horrible hill at the 10 mile point!!! But the down was rewarding! I also met a great guy called Tony on the run, and we decided to run together the whole way! I told him about fetch so hope to see him around some time! OK I am now going to skip around the house for the rest of the day singing happy songs of sheer JOY! Running is nearly better than sex on days like this! (I mustnt be getting any if I just said that out loud!) LOL! OK I promise to go now! YOUR HAPPILY, RR!!! XXXXXXXXXX YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SPKoF New PB. A very wet and windy race. Went out quick and held it for 11 miles. 11 - 12 was 30 seconds slower than the rest as I was dying but once at 12 it was downhill to the finish with the motivation of a PB and possible a sub 95.

The time keeper at the line read me aout as
