Jonny Found it tough going. Ok up until 11 miles and the steep hill before Salisbury Plain. Started to become a bit delirious at around 15 miles so I did nothing but walk from 16-22 miles. Ran the last 4.2 in 9 min miling. Got a bit sun burnt as well. Unaffiliated 3:27:32 3:59:32 4:46:22 42.57
Naomi P Bare bones point to point marathon from Avebury to Stonehenge over the Vale of Pewsey and Salisbury Plain, very scenic. Ran most of this with Gymfreak, thanks for the company! Ran on very depleted energy stores, my fault for missing too many meals during the week and drinking too much, so this wasn't the easiest especially with an injured foot. Still, got round in bang on my predicted time so pleased with that. Would do this one again. Unaffiliated 3:28:37 3:38:59 4:30:00 4:30:30 49.53

REALmadRED My 1st British marathon (4th in total) and a tough cross country one at that!
Set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside this race starts in the World Heritage Site village of Avebury, famous for the huge stone circle and ditch that surround it. Registration and the changing area are in the vilage hall giving this event a very friendly atmosphere. Along the way there is some beautiful scenery, a fine reward for some of those crazy hills you have to conquer! The views from the hilltops are absoloutly incerdible it has to be said, wonderful panoramas as far as the eye can see! Support along is sporadic but welcome as in this wide open countryside it's you against the elements and distance but that is punctuated by the cheery souls who marshal the water stations, God bless 'em for they make the experience so much more enjoable! Any pain you feel near the end is soon forgotten with the reward of a village fete atmosphere at Stonehenge and a fabulous medal and refreshments. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and thanks to all who made it possible. Collingwood AC 4:11:00 4:11:00 4:40:00 4:54:18 42.31
