bedlam_g 3rd and about 3 minutes quicker than last year. Pre race aim was top 5 after 10th last year but surprisingly took the lead after a mile and held on until 5 miles when of all things a vintage tractor rally blocked the single track road and imediatly wipped out my gap. Slithered down the muddy track for the next 3 miles in my racing flats and just held off the chasing border harrier for 3rd. Really tough course glorious scenery and a great race can't wait for next year.
