Fat Dave Started at the back, gobbled up everyone who stopped on the big hill in the second mile, then tried to hold on for the rest... pushed WAY to early for the finish, and then struggled to keep it going to the end to spare my blushes! I really don't think I could have done this any quicker, or beaten any more runners than I did. Which is what you want in a race, right? :) Truro RC, Truro Running Club 27:46 37:11 39:00 37:11 44.99
paskha Post-race update:- well I wasn't going to break any records, so ran as fast as I wanted to, this meant I did try my best ... almost. I just left the extreme mad urgency out, thouroughly enjoyed seeing so many people, glad to see Dave went, he ran a great paced race, was just behind me for 2 miles, then went ahead and finished nearly a minute in front, well done!! weather was cool and breezy, quite happy, lovely to see James cheering me in, job done!!//Pre-race notes: Strangely tough four miler! I never really enjoy it! I have never broken 36 mins, summer or winter ... I will be doing it cos James is coming along to run his FIRST race since he was 11! (when he ran the Claygate Country 5, must remind him to start his race portfolio!) - and I hope to see Fat Dave (and Family?) there too. The route goes steeply downhill in the first mile, then sharply back up again ... after that it's mostly flat, so WHY can't I break 36 mins???! Mounts Bay Harriers 33:35 38:06 37:37 38:06 60.03
