In truth I only made it over the line in sub-2 hours because I could see the clock from 100 yards from the finish and sprinted like my life depended on it to get over the line in the 3 seconds I had left. MadJonny Excellent run - 27 mins quicker than last year and only 8 mins off a PB. I expected to finish in around 2-10, as fitness level is better than last year. After slowish first mile, managed to get to 9 min mile pace by 5 miles, then upped the pace down the hill and on the flat. By the time I had got up the two hills at 8 and 11 miles, I was still still on for sub 2hrs. Managed to up the pace in the last mile to finish much quicker than expected.
