BrianK Lots of steep hill, up and down, legs hurt and blisters in places I've never had before. Wet & Wild Hungerford Hares 1:21:31 1:37:36 1:49:55 58.10
GD Excellent - fantastic organisation by Marlow Striders, and the usual rain & standing water which is kind of fun! I was hoping for a course best, as my previous two efforts had been poor, but wasn't expecting a season's best - most unexpected, I must test myself on a flat course soon!
Anyone else notice any discrepencies with the official timings against what you were expecting? Both my chip & gun times seem to be approx 6 seconds slower than I read/recorded? (see www.chiptiming.co.uk) FERC 1:27:25 1:39:12 1:45:00 1:39:12 58.97

TEL2 What a disaster!!! In eighteen years this is the first time I've ever gone over two hours, but at least I went well and truly over! Don't blame it on the weather, blame it on the boogie! Handy Cross Runners 1:27:00 1:49:53 1:55:00 2:08:59 59.75
Vincent Hills, rain, wind; excellent! UKnetrunner 1:42:17 1:42:17 1:50:00 1:56:00 54.59
wiglet My prediction might have been a bit ambitious 2 weeks after Abingdon Marathon. Second attempt at this race, 8 minutes better than my first, but those hills were just as daunting as last year - You've got to feel good though, running with soaking wet shoes in the wind and rain across the open fields at the top of the course!
