LouLou dissapointed with race - combination of factors made it tough. Good learning tool.

HappyG(rrr) I'm in. Hope it's not too windy. I would *quite* like a PB here, pls. Thank you! :-)G *Update* Thanks to everyone who bet on me. You were right! Quite a big PB and my sub 1:30, so v. pleased. As ever brilliant to see so many fetchies, before during and after. Special thanks to _andy for encouragement and to Baza for a great shout when cycling by at 11 mile point. A real boost. And to Big Al for the lift. Nice to have a pint with LouLou and Al after. What happened to you tho _andy? Missed you in the pub! Great event, well marshalled and organised. Interesting and challenging route, I thought. :-)G

_andy PB by a minute and a half. Felt relaxed and strong for the first eight or nine miles, and still pretty good past 10 and a bit, but the last mile (or two) were tough (the last mile split shows it). Temperature was good, but felt that I was roasting at the end, and the wind was all over the place, which didn't help. A good day at the office.

RunDMc Chip time. Lovely route, weather great apart from a wee bit breeze and the rain in the last two miles, which was actually most welcome. Every mile was between 8:20 and 8:30 even the hilly bits. Pretty good time prediction, seeing it was made back in November! New pb by about four minutes; one minute under previous pb for 7 miles; last 6.1 miles in 50:46. Walk from registration-bag area-start could do with looking at if possible (maybe leave bags at the school for mass transporting down to KGV?), but a grand day out and definitely one to do again. Many thanks to police, marshalls, organisers etc.

Cutjap Wahey, PB.

A good run, a shame the views were osbcured by the foggy misty stuff. I remembered the run being far hillier that it was, so was obviously delighted when there only seemed to be two hills that were of note.

Chatted to a couple of really nice folk on the way round (though all us runners are nice aren't we?) and the last mile I kind of stole in to some encouragement a couple of friends were giving each other and piggy backed on that to the finish line.

I'll definately do this again next year and again I'll recommend it to fellow runners

Ribenaface (RFSQL) Whooo I really enjoyed that - the rain stayed off, it wasn't very windy and there were a few nice people cheering in the middle of bloody nowhere (including comedy child leaning out of an SUV window half way). My time was a massive shock; my first half so I had no clue what pace would be sensible. Second half slightly faster without the headwind maybe.
Good to see a couple of unfamiliar fetchies albeit briefly - big al and happyG (you should learn to PB gradually, not in gargantuan leaps, keep something spare for next time ffs) before I had to leg it off home.

Run Ralphie Lost the psychological battle after mile 7. From there on in, it became harder to run. I'm going back to basics.

Does any fetchies have useful psychological tips?
