JPenno New PB at Blackpool last week so not sure about what to do at Liverpool, could go for better or just do a training run and then go all out at Wilmslow, now another PB by 1 second Unaffiliated 1:37:57 1:37:57 1:42:00 1:37:57 60.63
Highland Lad This race seemed to be much better organised this year, no problems at all, apart from a delayed start due to traffic or something like that. It was quite a windy day, but this played to our advantage running up Parliment street as the wind was giving us a push. Found the last 3 or so miles hard especially as we never seemed to be very far away from the finish, a bit of a psychological challange there but managed to complete the course without stopping. Very pleased with my time as set a PB and beat 1hr 40 all in one go. Unaffiliated 1:35:06 1:38:12 1:39:00 1:38:12 59.57
Iron Bry! Not been able to train much for this race so anything around 1.45 would be good. Surpassed all expectations! A really great run - started off fast and managed to keep it going. It helped starting near the front so wasn't slowed down by congestion (first 3 miles were more than 2 minutes quicker than GNR). First 6 miles covered in 45.06 then next 6 miles in 45.46 - so didn't slow too much during latter part of race. This suggests I paced it quite well. Finished the last 1.1 miles in 7.43 - which considering I didn't have much energy at the end is quite amazing! 10 mile split was 1.15.25. Overall, a great PB - by almost 4 minutes! UltraDunc Was going well and keeping pace and on course for sub 1:40, but legs were tiring at 10 mile perhaps from the wind and that hill at 6 miles and thats where I lost 2 1/2 mins on last 3 miles . SpuredonJay 1st race, really enjoyed it, found getting used to running at the begining with other people hard work, but still managed to keep a good pace going. Loved the hilly bits and wind like a whole in the head. Recommend this race for anybodies dates in their callendar.

Well done to the organisers and the many people who helped and supported. Espically the girl that shouted everyone on, going into Liverpool and on the return. Unaffiliated 1:43:27 1:49:01 1:55:00 1:49:01 53.33

Irontubs FLM training schedule says I should be capable of sub 2.00 hour half. Think I might leave that goal for now and just go for PB.
