CookPassBabtridge Was nicely warmed up at the start and then it was delayed once again, just long enough to get cold and then a bit more. Just didnt have it today, not boosted my confidence for london as it was hoped this race would do. Sorry if you placed a bet on me. Notts AC 31:22 32:51 31:59 32:55 80.47
DeeGee All mouth and no trousers me! Sorry those of you who bet on me! The twenty five minute delay to the beginning of the race, caused by some idiot refusing to move their car from a closed road that, less than 20 minutes later, over 4000 runners would be running down, coupled with getting chilly because of the delay, meant that my pre-race hydration was working though my system as I was running and I had to take a comfort break at about 4km.

The race was a bit like Alton Towers, a lot more time waiting around in crowds than actually getting stuff done. The (it seemed like) hours it took post race to get a bottle of water, standing round getting cold to pick up an incorrectly sized T-shirt, then the queue it took just to get out of the castle meant that I started cold and finished cold.

If they're going to have that many runners again, they really need to think about the crowds at the end. Still, the crowds of spectators seemed up for it. It was a nice race, and the castle finish could have made it all so good. 100 Marathon Club, Cleethorpes AC 41:29 49:15 53:00 57:49 45.73

Marts Poorly 'organised' joke of a race. started 25mins late for some reason but unless you were actually next to one of the loudspeakers you wouldn't know why.

Spectators couldn't get into the castle because it was full apparently (surely they knew how many people might come when every one of 4500+ runners had been sent a pass for 2 tickets to the castle!!)

Queue at finish of 40-50 runenrs for post race water bottles by 42min finishing time god knows how bad it was 10 mins or so later at expected peak of finishers.

Aim was 19min 5k then speed up but after over half an hour penned in as the start before it finally started decided just to run even so as not to cause injury. Lincoln City Council need to speak to runners before they ever organise another race. Werrington Joggers 35:44 36:22 40:00 38:18 69.16

Rich963 My best performance for a while - 157th (out of 3307) and closing in on my best times. Marie knocked a few minutes off her pb to finish in 1.01.27 in 2499th, so a good family day out. Paced it well, but legs felt heavy from the start (extra 1/2 hour wait at the start didn't help) and I couldn't keep the pace. Splits were 3.56 3.55 3.57 4.03 4.11 3.50 4.17 4.18 4.05 4.10, but I think the km markers were out in places. Stilton Striders RC 39:49 40:28 40:46 64.76

Spud-runner A bit of a crazy day with delayed starts and some slower runners at the front, but a great day and under 45 mins too!!

Trehis Fabulous race and another quick time on the comeback trail, probably could have been quicker had we not been held still at the start for half an hour after the official start time to remove cars of the course.
111th place, nearly 4,000 ran the race. Lincoln 10k. almost totally flat course. Unaffiliated 38:18 38:18 39:31 72.73
