robrea Great turn out for the Langham 10k today, the Weather was a little warm and breezy for this race, if the race was at 9AM instead of 11AM I think the times on average would have been much quicker. Anyway it's the same for everyone, had a decent run today, 3rd home and just 11 seconds away from my PB. Harwich Runners 33:11 34:22 33:59 34:33 76.41
brotherjohn Lovely event, but strangely hard work on what seemed like a good day for a race. Was hoping for a PB today, but it just didn't flow, one of those runs where the finish just couldn't come soon enough. I was surprised I was that quick with the way it felt! But 35:18 and 4th place + 1st V50. Dorset Doddlers 34:50 34:59 34:30 35:18 86.35
MrMarcus new pb well happy with that!!!! Even with an untied shoelace! good to meet fastboy and bolt from the Harwich runners as well Ipswich JAFFA RC 38:05 41:03 41:00 41:21 64.43
Bolt In the end the PB didn't quite materialise (elusive by 17 seconds) but I was very close and rather enjoyed the tussle with Richard F and Fastboy round the course. I was rather pleased with the reasonably stable split times which alludes to improving fitness (thanks FB!) with all the recent hill work. Managed to catch FB at 9km after he disappeared, seemingly forever at about 2.5km in - that was pleasing but was rather hoping for sprint finish. In the end had to reserve that for a sprint to beat a chap from Halstead and ending up barging him at the end. Apologised to him for that...as it was a tad unnecessary but I was keen to finish. Nice run in too with a chap from Colchester Harriers who I've seen about before with long hair.

Notably excellent runs from lots of HRs here but impressed by Rob, Brian H and Dan P who looks like he should soon be considering Group1 the way he's going.

Emily won her age category in 9:25 for 1.5m in associated FunRun. Nice one Em!

p.s. Agree with RobRea about the race start - needs to be 10 or 10:30 to avoid the heat and improve the PB potential. Harwich Runners 41:43 41:58 41:30 42:00 67.33
