Dickie York Set off steady as planned, especially in the heat. Lack of familiarity with running the loose rocky trails didn't help my pace, but plodded on. On the way to Ambleside managed to get a rock hit my lower shin/ankle, which hurt like hell. I was lucky that the guy I was running with lent me his poles, which probably saved my race.
