Ticketyboo Very tough but enjoyable course in windy conditions and overall happy with my run. Overtook Synergist and another runner at half way and held on to finish 5th. Cumbernauld AAC, Scottish Veteran Harriers Club 44:50 46:52 46:52 72.00

Vic Mason Local club race. Good value & always very well organised. Would like to dip under the 50 minutes and will be part of my FLM training. ***UPDATE*** This is one of my favourite races for the distance & for the sheer taxing course. Pleased to dip under the 50 minutes. 1st team prize thanks to Ticketyboo, Charlie VC. & myself. 13/200 Kirkintilloch Olympians 46:52 49:37 49:18 49:37 72.15

DCB Great race in windy conditions. The hills were just as tough as I remember from 2007. Pleased to PB but would have been nice to get under 55 min. Was slowing towards the end but happy overall as I did a 5K PB the day before. Main thing was to beat Smiffie! Cheddar Running Club 55:32 55:41 58:00 55:41 64.29
ian9657 New distance for me, so PB guarenteed. Will use this as part of my half marathon trg and won't push it too much. UPDATE Hilly especially the one after 7k but i ran a good run and finished strongly. Happy with that - I actually enjoyed it. Unaffiliated 57:15 59:31 1:10:00 59:31 63.76

Rav Really good day for a run, nice and sunny and not too windy......course very hilly, as warned. Bettered my predicted time by 5 mins very pleased but slightly dissapointed how close I came to dipping under the 60min mark......enjoyed it a lot!! Unaffiliated 1:00:00 1:00:00 1:05:00 1:00:00 57.79
MartyK What a cracking race! Really nice route, although very hilly. The hill just before the 8km mark was a absolute killer and my legs felt like lead from about 11km onwards, but it was a lovely day for it and a good distance for me. Unaffiliated 1:01:51 1:01:51 1:00:00 1:01:51 54.12
gilly b As hard and hilly race as I remember, however managed to get round 2 minutes quicker than last year so well pleased with that. Unaffiliated 1:04:48 1:06:03 1:06:03 60.75

RunDMc Never run over this distance but it's close to home and it'll force me to 'do' some hills. UPDATE - that was a lot of fun; the sunshine was a real bonus and given the lack of training and a couple of niggling injuries these past two months I was happy to get close to that 70-minute mark without busting a gut. Memo for next year: remember to bring yer own toilet roll. Unaffiliated 1:08:18 1:10:14 1:10:00 1:10:14 48.07
Gus Tough race, big hills, sunshine, snowdrops, really encouraging marshalls, and of course a shiny new PB. Jogscotland On The Run Cumbernauld 1:31:06 1:31:06 1:23:00 1:31:06 48.42
