Ands Excellent organisation. Felt great driving the 60 miles up there, felt great for first mile, then terrible on first hill. Not sure if giving blood 10d ago or overtraining(as I've been told) are to blame, but quads felt like lead. I always enjoy my races no matter what, but struggling so early on made it much less pleasant. On the up side, I'd gone on my own, and lots of nice people there to talk to. At the end, surprised at announcement of being first F40, suspect mistake or very small number of ladies with 2 legs running! Sub 50 next year. Blaydon Harriers & AC 45:20 45:20 48:00 51:40 60.14
Grey Badger Hope to go a bit faster than last year (40min 56sec). Quite an undulating course on forest tracks and tarmac. No PB chance on this course. Quite happy with time as i had just finished night shifts and was feeling tired. Came in 3rd out of approx 65. Northumberland Fell Runners 35:28 36:47 40:00 40:12 72.08
