Garfield First race for this year. It's always so crowded and I usually completely bugger up my food intake in the evening...eat too early then run out of steam. Gotta start working on that as I have a late race the following week too. Got the eating all right, energy drink provided gave me heartburn...so rather uncomfortable at the start of the race!!! Jimbo Got a bit closer to the start line than in previous years so it only took me 32 seconds to reach the clock. Had an excellent run considering I have only been back training for 4 weeks after a 4 month lay off. Once again the social events after the race were superb. lozza was injured last year, so hoping for a much better time..... and achieved it! 27:34 - a huge PB (ok so I didn't hit the target of 27 minutes - what can I say? It was a hot day).
