Gasheader Apologies to anyone who bet on me but it was not my day! Got a bad start seemed pinned in by 50 or so people I wanted to run faster than ,reached 3 miles in under 20mins so far so good. Oh Dear oh dear mile 3 to 4 mud bath kept my feet just but slowed and passed by many , 4- 5 flew on the road passed masses before returning to the mud and repassed by many. trudged in deflated 25 secs down on last year, Now looking at the glass half full 72/528 in a race that does not suit me is not bad . Cat the Dog Lover As it is off road I dont expect a fab time in terms of seconds and minutes - just in fun. However, I have lost my number - will have to contact the race organisers and see if I can still do it. If I cant I'll still come and watch. Weh hey - loverly organisers sorted me out with a new number. A slow run (as it was off road and I had a cold) but oh how fabulous! Forgot to stop the watch so this is official time. Stepford Wife Can't imagine this being a pb, more a pleasant way to end the year through some mud - time will really depend on the state of the course. Looking forward to it though! *update* What fun! What mud! Spent the first two miles wondering whether I was right to wear trail shoes - everyone else seemed to be in road shoes. Then we hit the mud and the mud hit back! Just a lot of fun - slightly faster than I'd anticipated as well.
