Agent Orange A terrific event in perfect weather. The garmin always has trouble in Hyde Park (must be all the trees) so I didn't pace myself and am not quite sure of the distances

Ran the first run (4.2km) comfortably in 18.14. Transitioned to the bike and got going on South Carriage Drive. I so wanted to do a sub-40 bike ride that my overall race time might have been a bit better if I had been more conservative. But sod it, I gave it a big push and just just made it, exiting second transition with fractionally under an hour on the clock. Great. The second run was punishing for me. Ran the first lap quite steadily but the second time round the Serpentine was a pure slog. I'm really pleased that I kept my km splits within 5.00/km. 33.66 for the second run was a respectablish 4.40 per km.

Overall 105th out of 153 [90 out of 240 dropped out??] but as it was club dominated event, I was pretty pleased to be 16th out of 36 unattached runners. Unaffiliated 42:00 55:00 39:46 54:47 1:34:33

RichardNathan Really pleased with this result. I was not expecting to get around the 1hr 30 mark. I think this is a decent time? Transitions let me down. Spent near 3 mins trying to untie my notted shoe-laces! Next time get some tri laces I think! Up for entering a similar event/sprint tri v soon. Please message me if you know of anything...
