bedlam_g Alright run for 7th place and team prize. Time probably the lower end of what I should be capable at the moment, but still 3 mins quicker than last year. Always a very tough course made all the harder by the head wind in the first half. Should really have been 6th if I'd 'raced a little cuter'. Quite a standard for an Island Half where 1.13 would only have guaranteed 4th. DavieO My first ever run of any sort. Delighted with my time and relative all round fitness. Paced it right. A great day, small field of 300 or so runners. Came in 67th place. Unaffiliated 1:29:18 1:38:24 1:40:07 58.43
HBNS 14th (1st M50) out of 308 finishers today. Started steady with Wed's race still in my legs and I had forgotten about the tough 1st mile (6m51s), so I stopped looking at my watch thereafter. With it being windy for the 1st 7 miles or so, I manage to make my way through the field from mid 20's to finish 14th (few places down on 2009), surprised and pleased to be 3 mins faster than last year, best field I've encountered in a Heb3 1/2 marathon so far.
