controversial Ok so now i a serious offer! I would like to PB on sunday ... meaning to run around 2.55 or faster, however i think i have got a lot more chances to do it if someone paces me or runs with me?
I have seen quite a few people of 2.50 standard planning to run in 2.55, any one willing to give me a 'hand' or we could even have a little group? How does that sound?

Mr Jigs I know I have offered to pace at sub 3, but after my PB on sunday and the fact that I was racing without painkiller for the first time in 6 weeks I am feeling strong .... hope you don't mind??? Clapham Chasers 2:33:54 2:55:54 2:55:00 2:57:24 68.72
Bushie tough from 18 milesonwards, hilly last 6 miles. goal achieved sub 3. Tamworth AC 2:57:40 2:59:04 2:59:00 2:59:04 68.78
Jigs The hardest race I've ever run, fact! Getting up at 3 am to get to the start to wait outside in the cold for 5 hours is crazy! but the race itself is awesome. Crowd support, bands, marshals were fantastic. 1st & 2nd mile were slow, picked up pace after that, the bridges were really tough just sapping the strength from you. Had a tough spot about mile 18 or 19 but managed to pick up the pace again after that. Forgot about the hills in Central Park until I got to them! Missed sub 3hr by only 5 seconds, but couldn't of found those seconds anywhere in the last 3 miles, as I did all I could. It'll keep :) Unaffiliated 2:46:27 3:00:04 3:00:04 69.62

Cormorant Lots of people I spoke to had the same story as me: they ran a fast first half and were shuffling by the end. I had to stop and stretch my calfstrings in the Bronx, at which point my thigh cramped. Ho hum. By that point I'd forgotten the runner whose shirt read 'Please don't surpass me. My wife is here and she have a photocamera'. My family saw me at 16 miles on First Avenue and then again at 25 miles by the zoo and that just about kept me going. In the last few miles I heard myself using lots of US-style self-help mantras ('Come on! You can do this!' etc.) and they sort of worked: I loved the finish in the park. Slower than I'd wanted, faster than the first time I ran this. What a great event. Cranleigh Tortoise & Hare Runners 3:24:41 3:40:24 3:30:00 3:40:24 62.36

gray What can one say about this race? Well, apart from the usual superlatives which all apply, this is what stuck in my brain:
The start: having arrived at around 5am, we spent four hours or so getting a taster of what it'd be like to be homeless - cardboard became a commodity more valuable than crude oil. Thanks to Steve, Amy, Sarah and Anthony for passing the time. Using a portaloo in the dark was an experience I'd rather not have had.
The middle: the locals love this race (Americans do pride so well....) and the crowds were incredible. Despite slowing to the pace of a sloth between miles 17 and 21 while my body switched to reserve, I really enjoyed the Bronx. Perhaps it was the people shouting 'Welcome to the Bronx!' in slightly sinister, 'Tony Soprano', voices that gave the borough a bit of an edge.
The Finish: in no other sport can you get as much encouragement and support as the elite and this was the best example that I've experienced. Despite running on empty the wall of noise dragged me along and salvaged my personal best. The weekend cost an arm and a leg (well, both legs, actually) but was worth every penny.
