run-forest-run A new event for me, and have not run many 1/2 's, this will be only two weeks after Stratford Marathon, so could be interesting ! Looking forward to this event very much as quite local too. Result - A great run for me, 6 minute pb, 1:38 never thought I could achieve sub 1:40 A great event, lovely scenery all the way round, good support, I LOVED it !! Broccers Took it quite easy as did 55 miles on bike yesterday and wasn't sure how legs would last. Legs were find but mind wandered and found the lon slog from 7 - 9 ish really dull so kind of stopped trying. kylie_smiley My first half marathon, and I finished way at the back, but I don't care - I DIT IT!!! Felt OK for the first few miles, then slowed rapidly as the weather warmed up. I am not a warm weather runner. Lovely scenery, and marshalls cheering me on helped get me through the tough bits. I was hoping I'd be a bit quicker on race day than predicted, but as it's my first one, it's still a PB ;-) I enjoyed it, and will be entering next year, and I WILL get a quicker time.
