CStar Fingers crossed. Its got to be done this time. - Well that was ok then. 1.38 knocked off my PB. Very happy. Went off well, had to hold myself back a bit at around 4 -5 k. Got up the hill at 6-7k ok and kicked on from 8.5 to 9.5. Even had the family out to watch for the first time since FLM 2008. Lots of PB's around so well done everyone. DrBob Modified prediction to 36.30, which seems much more likely based on current form. Not that I'd be happy with anything over 36 min, but have to be realistic! BOING! Felt really comfortable throughout this race and the fastest I've done 10k since 2008, despite various niggles. Decided to run it comfortably and enjoy it. Flat Out Fi Am praying the provisional results stay the same and that I did manage to do 40:00!!! I always really enjoy HBO - its a great atmosphere and this year with it being the 25th Anniversary Race there was a massive field of 1,500! I was 9th lady overall so delighted with that and 2nd in my age group. Weather was a bit drizzly but better than it has been most years! Great course and lots of support all the way round! Fell over spectacularly on the downhill through the village at 5.5k. slid along the road like falling off a bike - don't know how i only managed to scrape a bit of skin off.
