Albert O Balsam Cool to start and windy with a spot of rain at 2km point - shame it didn't stay as it felt very humid after this point, which meant that the extra water at the top of the hill was very welcome !

As with every year, loads of people standing in the wrong section at the start, which meant loads of weaving for the first 5 k. Lovely day out though

automatic shoes Well pleased with my effort - much better than Wheathampstead. Went off fairly hard for first 6k (apart from a couple of minutes when I slowed in the 3rd k after tweaking an ankle) and got there in 31:23. Then jogged 7 and 8 before going hard again over the last couple. This is a good event (apart from the queueing at the end). Ware Joggers 52:03 53:46 53:46 56.69

BrianJ This is such a good race, one of the highlights of the year, with tremendous support from the locals. Was worried about how warm this was going to be, but actually the morning was cloudy if a bit muggy. As a result did better than my prediction, my fastest 10K so far this year. brotherjohn That was tough! Much harder course than I though it would be, but I was determined to get under 38 minutes today, so very pleased with a new PB of 37:46. Very nice event, one of the best I have done and very nice to have the roads all to ourselfs. Dorset Doddlers 34:50 36:20 38:30 37:46 80.02

chimpy Would have been an easy pb if I hadn't stopped at 6k with stitch, must run through it next time. Did those 500+ runners really need to be at the front at the start? I started in the sub 50 min section and then spent the first 2k running past and around 60-70 min runners, apart from that a good race and a great T-shirt to go away with. DrBob nearly stopped after a couple of miles, really not in the mood, but picked it up and finished fairly strongly.
Need to get more positive for these things, and concentrate, but quietly pleased as it felt fairly easy. Cambridge & Coleridge AC 31:04 35:36 35:49 81.57
Drell Chip time. Gun time was 1:01:11, which is at least economical on the symbols required. Not a good run, but possibly not surprising after this week's activities. Unaffiliated 54:16 55:27 59:54 55.61
fatface All the pre-race comments suggested a really tough course but I was quite suprised to find something that I would describe as pretty flat.

PB by almost 2 minutes. Unaffiliated 43:58 43:58 45:54 43:58 65.37

Lieutenant Lucerne Probably too many undulations for it to be a PB, will be happy with a sub 40 time.

Mrs F Quite a deceptively undulating course! Very warm and humid and yet paradoxically windy for the first 2-3km!
Pig roast butties, and beer afterwards - GREAT! can recommend to anyone as it is a big race - lots of people, but go and make a day of it! Unaffiliated 1:00:13 1:00:13 1:01:06 1:00:13 55.32
