Cat the Dog Lover Start line to finish time, not the start cannon to finish! Everyone else finished this saying they had gone off way too fast and done the fastest mile ever in the first mile. That'll be why I got left behind by those I normally run near and caught them up later. I'd set off with the idea that I wasnt going to go very fast. Despite the threat of shin splint in my left foot (that eased off on the run back so it must have been the slight camber) and the shoulder thing that is driving me nuts I may well have got a PB in this. Dave W Course is as flat as a pancake. It would be a really fast course, if it wasn't for the wind in your face. It was blowing quite hard up the front from Seaton Carew, but apart from that the weather was fantastic. First time I've done a 5m for a lot of years, but this one was enjoyable. Robsta Going to try to and go for it will depend on how confident I am of achilles holding up. Done very little over the last two weeks. Perfect conditions great race and a massive PB wished I could have found another 2 seconds tho! Durham City Harriers & AC 34:01 34:01 36:30 34:01 66.62
