5hep How far can I go out of my depth!! If you've not done these before and you're a mere mortal like me then you'll need a sense of humour - I haven't finished sixth from last since school (a long time ago!!). Some very very very serious and quick runners in this one - and probably the series as a whole - but the course is a fantastic challenge and I'll be doing the rest of the league events - it can't get any worse.....can it!! Berni Second X-country race this year, hoping to improve on Fareley Mount. Ran the race, it was hard. It seemed to be all uphill, would've been a bastard if it was wet, fortunately most of the race seemed to be on the side of the hill sheltered from the wind. There were lots of complaints about dog crap on the route through the wooded section but by the time the senior men got going it had been picked up on other racers shoes. Once again I was impressed by the number of youngsters who turned out to run in what is not a particularley glamorous event, the oganisation was good. Still waiting for my official time.
