Runnersleep The omens did not look good after the morning rain and the delayed journey to Haddington. But the sun came out for the race - and stayed out making it quite pleasant to run. Started off steady and picked up after 6 miles and ran well considering that there are some tough inclines on this course.
It was good to meet up with Mick and Phil - respect guys. Also met with Tigger, IanS and Ellem.
Well done to all the Fetchies who ran today and well done to the organisers who put on a good event.

Mr. White ...there be hills....great for running down - a bit tougher going up them though.
I was praying for rain but it ended up was nice and sunny - heyho.
I found this pretty tough, mainly because it was my first HM and also I went far too quickly at the start, miles 10 to 12 are just a hazy blur for me....managed in under 2 hours though so quite pleased. Good organisation and good atmosphere too. Met Mick & Phil too - tops! Unaffiliated 1:48:26 1:48:26 2:00:00 1:58:52 49.21

RunDMc Hmmm. Five month hiatus since last HM took a toll, as did the unexpected warmth, the unexpected hilly bits and the all-too predictable p*ss-poor pre-race preparation. Even had to walk for 10 mins at 11 miles, out of sheer boredom if nothing else. All a bit of a slog with little to commend it (how can somewhere that close to a capital city not have a train link??). In future, must a) run more than six miles more often, b) engage in better preparation and c) leave the chocolate and crisps alone, fat boy. Unaffiliated 1:47:59 1:54:06 2:00:00 2:08:02 45.66
RichyC Pretty tough going today with the undulations, hot weather and I seem to recall one particularly windy bit. Knew I would be slower than my previous 2 halfs this year but thought I might have been a couple of mins quicker than I was. Still, decent run out in advance of the GSR in 4 weeks which is my main goal just now and hopefully be nearer pb condition with 4more weeks of training after an inconsistent summer. Good race by the way, well organised and nice undulating scenic route. Unaffiliated 1:18:55 1:23:33 1:29:18 64.92

Ellem Oh my God that was hot and hilly. Was on target for under 2 hours at half way but kind of died a bit after that and just trotted round. East Lothian Triathlon Club 1:50:15 1:58:26 1:59:59 2:13:59 54.47

IanS Did this with Tigger as a training run for Glasgow in 4 weeks. Quite a hilly course, pretty hot and hard work when the sun came out. Harmeny AC 1:38:43 1:44:21 1:57:26 53.02

Trackerman Thought we were going to be running in torrential rain but in true Haddington fashion the sun came out just before the start and the temperature went up. Excelent course and thanks must go to Haddington Pacemakers for the great organisation..................Those hills! Portobello RC 1:30:55 1:36:23 1:35:00 1:38:20 64.95
