Marts outisde chance of pb. have bet on slef but this is really a race to measure progress ahead of GER. too warm, started too fast. 25s slower than last year. Werrington Joggers 1:18:56 1:23:09 1:20:00 1:23:09 69.81
DrBob bloody hard work. Was on schedule for 1.24 at half way then died towards the end, heat made it hard. Leg very painful afterwards. Need to get some quality training in. Cambridge & Coleridge AC 1:18:57 1:23:51 1:25:00 1:26:37 73.10

TROSaracen Going for a PB here. Training has been going well, this has to be a flat, fast race and I am fitter than when I recorded my current PB. Update: Oh yes! Absolutely delighted with the time and performance, a PB by almost 6 mins. Fantastic to see the results of some hard training come through in a race time. Flat, fast course - hot and exposed but water and sponge stations were frequent. Probably the best organised and marshalled race I have done.
I got off well and just kept going, did not expect to sub 7 min mile all the way, but did. I was concerned that I was going too fast and would struggle in the heat later but felt really good so kept going and took the risk. Realised with about 3 miles to go that 1:30 was on, but couldn't find anything extra to hit that milestone. Had to shoot off to Manchester straight after, so couldn't hang about sadly - felt so good after the race I felt as if I could have run the 200 miles to Manchster........a great day, reminds me why I do this and why I find time to train 6 times a week. Fabulous. Unaffiliated 1:29:10 1:30:16 1:35:00 1:30:16 66.24
KinkyS The worst race of my life ever. Yes, even including the one where I ended up in the back of an ambulance. A new personal worst and a whopping 14 minutes slower than my PB. No point writing a report. Confidence shattered *sob* :-( Todmorden Harriers & AC, The Green Runners 1:31:57 1:33:31 1:47:05 60.21

FlyingKiwi A PB! However, had a really tough race, starting off too fast, and found it hard to pull back to my target min/mile. Had a crappy last 3 miles - 26 minutes!! But, can learn from it, and feel I am in a good position going into the Great Eastern in 4 weeks. Took two Squeezy gels - 7 and 10 miles. Werrington Joggers 1:44:10 1:44:10 1:46:38 60.46
welsh wizard Not been running well lately and with hindsight would not have entered. If I break 1.50 I will be very happy.

Debbie G Wow - what a race :-)

After a weeks holiday, mountain biking in Sardinia (with endless red wine and 4 course feasts) I was not expecting much today and was going to view this race as part of my marathon training for Dublin.....but I felt so strong and was staggered to finish 8 minutes quicker than last year and well over 7 minutes quicker than my PB.

Excellent organisation as usual - brilliant marshals - good warm weather & great to see lots of fetch shirts - top day all round :-)

SarahL Thrilled with this time and this race. It hurt a lot between 10 and 13 miles - and I pushed myself as far and fast as I could. Looking forward to Berlin - 3 weeks away and 3 weeks of easy runs and lots of rest! Saw some people in FETCH t-shirts which was really nice as I only discovered this website yesterday and I really like the idea of the community. Unaffiliated 1:36:19 1:48:25 1:51:00 1:48:25 59.49

Gandhi Using this as a training run for Dublin.
Update:- It was hot, hot , hot today. Tried to run at a comfortable pace, as in a training run . It worked & I felt fine at the end. This was one of the best organised races I've run. Chip timing , marshalls & facilities were excellent. Coltishall Jaguars 1:42:03 1:50:22 2:10:00 1:54:19 61.10
Hoaxster I'll be trying for something fast and painful. *Update* Don't bet unless mad or stupid. Training isn't going as well as it might be. Will be lucky to PB at all.*Update* As some loonies bet on me I felt duty bound to try a bit. Should really have done a lot better, given that my PB was set nearly a year ago and there have been many miles bimbled since then. Running with Mick'n'Phil was awesome, seeing my lovely chums and making some new ones was, of course, great. Exemplary marshaling and the atmos through Witchford was very lovely. One day I'm really going to nail one of these.*Update* Gun time 1:53:08 Chip time 1:52:42 Unaffiliated 1:46:24 1:52:42 1:54:00 1:52:42 51.59

Mrs Gandhi I injured my heel whilst running this 2 years ago & had to stop running for 6 months.
So it brings back some bad memories. Coltishall Jaguars 2:06:23 2:09:22 2:30:00 2:15:49 59.32
Lis81 My first half marathon and it was on a flat course - perfect, or so it seemed until I realised that I hate multi laps!! Found it a bit de-motivating going round the same road again. Also picked up an injury at about 7/8 miles and had to hobble and hop round.
Apart from the injury a really organised race and hats off to the Marshalls and locals at the drinks station. Unaffiliated 2:10:21 2:31:00 2:31:00 42.70
